I don’t talk about this much because my mom has always been doing things, but one of my mom’s favorite activities is “visiting”. Just sittin’ with a homemade treat and catching up. No TV, no alcohol, no iphones, just sitting and talking….It blows my friend’s minds. It blows my mind, really. People would call me in high school and I would say “hey I’m talking with my parents, can I call you back?” and then later they would say “what were you doing” and I would say “talking” and they would say “oh…that’s it?”

She’s a keeper.
