I let my mom off the hook tonight because I was with her at 10pm. We had a little celebration dinner to honor the fact that my wife and I no longer live off my parents generosity. Fabulous! That’s right, WE paid for dinner after one year of them providing us breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as free lodging and their undying support. I’ll say for now that we may have gotten the better end of the deal. We’ll see.

What were we doing at 10pm? Eating ice cream and chatting. There was also ice water with real ice cubes. Yep, we bought ice trays, so you know we were hospitable for real.
