“Surfing the web looking for hotels available in Asheville in October!”

Couple important things to point out:

1) She lives in Asheville. What the butt is she looking for?

2) She still says “surfing the web” which is incredible. All of my peers say “wasting time on the internet” with shame reeking through their keyboard. My mom still views the internet as a tool of discovery and progress; a ride to knowledge, power, and exploration. Thank God. My mom has never been on a YouTube cat video kick. She’s never said “oh shit what time is it? I just looked at craigslist missed connections for 55 minutes”.
